At Playa Colorado Surfing School we offer private, semi-private or group surf lessons at the best surf breaks in the region and we’ll tailor your surf experience according to conditions and the type of wave you seek.

Unless the swell is unusually high, we take our beginners down to play in the long wave at Playa Remanso. Playa Maderas is another one of our favourite locations for learning to surf and on an incoming tide, the swell is excellent for all surf levels with a mellow break and a string of rustic bars to quench your thirst after the surf lesson.

If you’re looking for space, we’ll take you down to the mile-long Playa Hermosa, meaning Beautiful Beach in Spanish. Promising consistent swell for all levels of surfers, we love bringing our longboards down here and the ample space is great for learning to surf. For the more advanced surfer, Playa Colorado Surfing School grab the short boards for a tailored lesson and paddle out to Playa Yankee where the powerful peaks often reach chest or head height. Here you also get a lot more surf territory to yourself because the crowds stay closer to town.
