This beautiful wave is accessible only to people by boat, or by those who rent or live in Hacienda Iguana- a private property that enshrines Playa Colorado. Because of this limited access, Playa Colorado remains a pristine spot for surfers lucky enough to get in the water! We love Playa Colorado ” Hacienda Iguana”breaks because they are consistent and peak quality. Here, the surf is the biggest and best between March and October so during big swells, our advanced surfers thrive on our private and semi-private lessons to finesse their technique and get stoked!
For group lessons, this famous white sand stretch leads up to an alternative great wave near the northern end of the beach- Panga Drops. ‘Panga’s’ pushes out a delicious, deep water swells that surfers of all levels can access. And what’s more? It’s guaranteed to be rolling year-round so you can learn to surf any day of the year.
